  • 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats

  • 1 cup filtered water

  • 1 cup milk of choice

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • sweetener such as maple syrup, chopped dates, or mashed banana

  • dash of sea salt

  • optional add-ins: 1/4-1/2 cup pumpkin purée, 1/2 - 1 Tbsp raw cacao powder

  • toppings: cinnamon apples & pears, stewed berries, sliced fruit, cacao nibs, hemp seeds, coconut flakes, nuts/nut butter


  1. Add all ingredients to a small saucepan and cook over medium to medium-high heat until it comes to a boil.

  2. Reduce to low-medium heat and cook until oats are tender and creamy (about 15 minutes). Stir occasionally.

  3. Add desired toppings and additional milk of your choice.
