Roasted Cauliflower Head


• 1 head cauliflower

• olive oil

• salt & pepper

• cayenne, garlic powder, paprika (optional)

• parmesan cheese


  1. Fill a pot with water and boil. Remove excess cauliflower leaves & cut the stem so the cauliflower can stand up straight.

  2. Place the head of cauliflower face down into the pot of boiling water and simmer for 5 minutes. This helps tenderize the cauliflower florets.

  3. While the cauliflower is simmering and softening, pre heat your oven to 350F.

  4. Carefully remove the cauliflower from the pot of water and place on a baking sheet. Stand the cauliflower up and drizzle on olive oil. Sprinkle on salt and pepper and any additional seasonings you'd like.

  5. Pop into the oven for at least 20 minutes or until the edges of the cauliflower turn golden brown.

  6. Top with freshly grated Parmesan cheese. Enjoy!
