1 lb bag green beans
1 Tbsp olive oil
3 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
1 teaspoon garlic powder
2 teaspoons honey
1/4 cup slivered almonds
Wash and trim the green beans.
Place a large pan on medium heat. If you do not have a large pan, cook the beans in batches as overcrowding will prevent from blistering.
Add the olive oil to the pan. Once it’s hot, but not smokey, add the green beans.
Sauté for about 1-2 minuets, then add the balsamic vinegar. Turn the heat up to medium-high heat and add the garlic powder and a pinch of salt. Add more oil, if needed.
Cook for 5-6 minutes, occasionally stirring and turning the beans to prevent burning.
Reduce the heat to low and add the honey and slivered almonds. Cook for about 2 more minutes and taste. Add salt, if needed.
Remove from heat, pair with my basic balsamic vinaigrette (recipe here), and enjoy!
