Cinnamon Stewed Apples


  • 2 apples (such as fuji or honeycrisp) or 1 apple and 1 pear

  • juice from ½ orange

  • squeeze of lemon

  • splash of vanilla extract

  • ¼ teaspoon or more cinnamon

  • dash of salt

  • 2 Tbsp water (add more as needed)


  1. Cut apples into ½-1 inch cubes.

  2. Add chopped apples and the rest of the ingredients into a small pot and stir until well mixed.

  3. Put the lid on and let the fruit cook, stirring occasionally, for about 5-10 minutes or until they have reached desired softness.

  4. Taste for seasoning. Enjoy!
