3/4 cup basmati rice
3/4 cup filtered water
2 teaspoons plus more of olive oil
1/2-3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup or more of fresh dill, chopped
1/3 cup frozen green peas
1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
Rinse and drain rice in a pot 3-4 times or until water becomes more clear. Add 3/4 cup of water to rinsed rice.
Place pot on stove and add 2 teaspoons olive oil and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Stir.
Bring rice to a boil and then lower to a simmer.
Once most of the water is absorbed (this typically takes ~10 minutes), add in dill, frozen green peas, and turmeric. Stir.
Add a drizzle of olive oil and a bit more water. Place the lid on the pot and cook until rice is tender, about 10-15 minutes.
Taste and adjust for seasoning. Enjoy!
